Data is stored in text files based on systems you define in the config files. This data will be stored in the SHEF .A format( see link for SHEF in keyterms.

Two files get created when data is collected, an archive file and a temporary file. Each water year( starts 01OCT ) gets it's own archive file. The archive file has the file name YYYY<system name>.txt. The temprorary file has the file name <system name>.txt. It may or maynot exist at any given moment, this is the file that the Transmitd service( explained later) uses to ship data around.

These files will end up in:
"data directory"\archive\
and
"data directory"\output\
The directory directory location is specified in the configuration file
